Zack Jones, CEO

American Collegiate Academy

A former professional athlete and NBA player, Zack Jones knows well the commitment, discipline and effort required to succeed at the highest levels of sport. And, as an academic administrator, he knows well those same requirements necessary for achievement in an educational setting.

In his 30 years as a Principal and Vice Principal, he led his teams of administrators and educators in creating solid educational programs for k-12 schools worldwide.

An instrumental leader at American Collegiate Academy, Zack Jones is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the educational organization as C.E.O./ Principal and is responsible for the planning and implementation to bring a top Sports Academy to the Brooksville Country Club. The school will operate independently of the club but with deep integration of resources.

Coaching Philosophy

It is my desire to bring an atmosphere that will bring about growth to our athletes over their time spent at in our program. They should be encouraged to continue to grow athletically, academically, mentally, and spiritually.

The key to a championship Basketball Program is discipline and passion. The motto for our program will be “Offense Wins Games, But Defense Wins Championships”. Talent changes from year to year, but a coach can stress solid fundamentals and provide enthusiastic leadership with the principles built on defense every year.

These qualities will not only benefit the young men on the court, but will help them achieve the most important goal in receiving college opportunities. We will emphasize that the knowledge discipline that they gain in our program will be there for them long after the games are done.

Mission Statement

To utilize my ability to teach people solid fundamental basketball skills. To use
basketball as a platform to develop a strong sense of responsibility and leadership skills
through discipline with teamwork and physical endurance, while leading organizational
programs towards Championship accomplishments

Coaching Style and Personality

The word coach has a deeper meaning than just coaching the game. It can mean Dad, Brother, Uncle, Teacher, Friend, Mentor and I take all of that very seriously.
The greatest honor you can have as a coach is when your players confide in you with personal issues and know that you care more about them as a person than a basketball player.

I want all our players to know that I care about their total well-being and want an open line of communication. We want to be a FAMILY!!!!

Academics

As a former professional athlete, I know well the commitment, discipline and effort required to succeed at the highest levels of sport. And, as an academic administrator, I know well those same requirements necessary for achievement in an educational setting.

In my 24 years as a Principal and Vice Principal, he led his team of administrators and educators in creating solid educational programs for junior and senior high school students. Has established effective organizations, improved academic practices, and developed procedures to ensure students and faculty were able to reach their highest goals.

As an instrumental leader at Balboa School, I am responsible for the successful leadership and management of the educational organization. I direct strategic planning, development, and serve as a liaison for the academic curriculum, and I also raise awareness for the school.
